Safeguarding policy

UICA's commitment to preventing harm and responding responsibly to concerns.

This is the Phase 4 operational draft required by the UICA blueprint. UICA must complete legal and governance review before treating it as final legal text.

Commitment

UICA must design activities around dignity, informed consent, appropriate boundaries, accessibility, risk awareness, and the best interests of children and at-risk adults.

Reporting a concern

Use the official UICA contact route and label the message Safeguarding. Share only information necessary to understand and act on the concern.

Response

UICA should restrict access where needed, preserve relevant records, avoid retaliation, refer matters to qualified authorities when required, and keep information need-to-know.

Immediate risk

If someone faces immediate danger, contact the appropriate local emergency or protection service first. The website is not an emergency channel.
