UICA policy
Media consent policy
The permission required before UICA captures or publishes identifiable media.
This is the Phase 4 operational draft required by the UICA blueprint. UICA must complete legal and governance review before treating it as final legal text.
Informed choice
Consent should explain what will be captured, why, where it may appear, the intended period of use, and how to ask questions or withdraw future use where possible.
No assumption
Program participation does not itself grant media consent. Refusing optional media consent should not create unfair disadvantage.
Children and safeguarding
Media involving anyone under 18 requires the approved child-safeguarding process and valid guardian consent in addition to the young person's assent.
